The Challenge

Business intelligence (BI) projects have traditionally faced long deployment times due to numerous technology obstacles. Most notable is the time and resources required to build an underlying data warehouse - procuring hardware, creating server infrastructure, and installing, configuring, deploying and maintaining BI applications - as well as the underlying database management system.

The Solution

Utilizing Hosted Chef, Full 360 integrated the open source BI application, Jaspersoft, with Vertica, the market-leading columnar analytic database, on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Full 360 also leveraged Opscode Hosted Chef to alleviate the time-consuming obstacles above and create a new platform for Business Intelligence - the elasticBI Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

Full 360 was an inaugural partner of AWS in 2007, and were one of the first integrators to focus on the intersection of Business Intelligence and the Cloud.
